We are really pleased to have a very worthy winner of our bursary for the Advanced Certificate in Public Relations. Alexandra Bolton, communications assistant at Centrepoint.
We introduced the bursary three years ago because we wanted to give people without access to funding the opportunity to study for a CIPR professional qualification. To win the bursary, which consists of £800 towards our tuition fee, Alexandra had to argue the case for undertaking a PR professional qualification in no more than 500 words.
We all thought that Alex presented a really well written and convincing case. Her submission showed a clear understanding of the important contribution that public relations makes to organisations and argued that practitioners need to develop their skills and knowledge to do their jobs effectively. With her passion for her chosen career shining through her words she was a clear winner.
Well done Alex!
