28 September 2012: PR Academy has awarded two bursaries this year towards studying its CIPR face-to-face courses.
The bursary towards studying the CIPR Internal Communications Diploma goes to Lynda Knight, Communications Manager for the Post Office, while the bursary towards studying the CIPR Public Affairs Diploma has been awarded to Gillian Reeves, Marketing Director at Catch 21 – a charitable production company that uses video to engage young people with politics.
PR Academy director Ann Pilkington: “Both Lynda and Gillian presented such compelling cases for why they want to undertake a professional qualification in their chosen fields. It therefore gives me great pleasure to award each of them a bursary that will help them to continue their learning and achieve their professional ambitions.”
PR Academy introduced annual bursaries towards studying its CIPR face-to-face courses to provide those without access to funding the opportunity to pursue an industry-recognised professional qualification.
To win a bursary, candidates must argue the case for undertaking a professional qualification in no more than 500 words.
