About this course
Equip yourself with the tools and techniques to engage, motivate and inform employees. Enhance productivity in the organisation, support innovation, build resilience, create more healthy cultures and more responsible businesses.
As the world of work changes due to COVID-19, good listening is critical to support employees, some of whom may be working remotely with little or no face to face contact with colleagues.
We’ve got two great course leaders for you. The programme is co-delivered by Dr Kevin Ruck of PR Academy and Mike Pounsford of Couravel an organisation development consultant who specialises in communication and change. Mike has led listening exercises for many blue-chip clients.
The course will draw on the 2019 Who’s Listening report, co-authored by Mike, Kevin Ruck from PR Academy and Howard Krais from IABC UK&I.
(This course was previously called “Listening for Engagement”.)

It’s fascinating how in just a few weeks of attending the organisational listening course, my thinking about internal communication quickly shifted from a focus on the tactical “sending out stuff” to employees, to thinking about the critical role of listening to employees to improve business performance, and the importance of working with senior leadership to overcome the barriers to effective listening to unlock the real value of effective employee engagement.
