Meet your course leader Chris Tucker
Chris Tucker calls herself a news junkie. “Sky News is constantly on in the background after, of course, BBC Radio Four’s Today programme. The development of the new news ecosystem meshing on and offline media is something that fascinates me. It’s certainly an enormously exciting time to be working in PR.”
Signing up to the London Accelerator course for the PR Diploma is one of the best decisions I’ve made because it ultimately resulted in me getting a new job – even before I submitted my first assignment.
It was great to meet the other students in-person. It was a real boost to my learning and an opportunity to build vital connections. The food provided was also brilliant! Afterwards, someone set up a LinkedIn group to help support each other through our studies. One of my classmates knew I had been trying to make the switch from journalism to communications and mentioned there was a job vacancy where she worked. It was the role I’d been looking for. I got the job so now we’re colleagues, friends and study pals.
