Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all qualifications and training programmes run by PR Academy Ltd. You should read the terms carefully, and your attention is drawn to the clause headed “Our Liability”.

In these terms “you” means the individual booking the relevant training programme and “we” means PR Academy Limited (Company number 06173353).

Terms: we need payment 14 days from date of invoice unless different terms have been agreed and are stated on the invoice. You need to meet any bank charges (for example when paying from an overseas bank account). You need to pay us in pounds sterling. The exception to this is where the start of the course is within 14 days of the invoice, in which case immediate payment is required.

No tuition or course materials will be provided until full payment has been received. A Purchase Order does not confirm a course place unless you have purchased from us before.

Training courses

For our training courses, until payment is received in full, the place on the training course will not be confirmed and may be cancelled should the course fill up and the place be needed for a delegate who has paid.

If we don’t get enough people signing up for a course, we reserve the right to cancel the course and make a refund in full. This applies if an insufficient number of bookings have been received to make the course viable by two weeks prior to the session date.

Payment by instalments

If we offer payment by instalments, we need you to maintain your instalment plan and pay by the due dates. If you don’t we reserve the right to withhold further tuition and the assignment results and/or delay the marking of course work until everything is up to date. We reserve the right to suspend access to online accounts. No refund of any course fees already paid by you will be made.

You are liable for the full course fees, even if you decide not to continue with the course.

Qualifications and training: If you need to cancel a course and let us know 15 days or more before the start of the course, we will refund you in full. If you don’t tell us until 14 days or less before the first day, then we can only refund 50% of the course fee.
Unfortunately we can’t give any refunds once the course has started.

The course programme must be followed as booked, tuition cannot be deferred to a later date. It is not possible once the course is underway to transfer your place to a another programme. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Once you have submitted your enrollment form, if you want to change to another course a £50 plus VAT charge will apply.

For Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) courses, you are required to book your assignment submission with us no less than two weeks before the deadline. If you fail to submit your assignment as agreed, you will need to rebook it for a later date and you will need to pay the awarding body fee for that assignment, plus an administration charge, again.

Changes and cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel a course, programme or training day if not enough delegates are enrolled to make it viable.

If we have to cancel a programme for any reason, then we will refund 100% of any prepaid course fee.

If we have to change the location of a course, we will try to give you as much advance notice as possible. It will always be within reasonable travel distance of the original venue and we will not be liable for any costs incurred including (for example) travel charges.
