It’s fascinating how in just a few weeks of attending the organisational listening course, my thinking about internal communication quickly shifted from a focus on the tactical “sending out stuff” to employees, to thinking about the critical role of listening to employees to improve business performance, and the importance of working with senior leadership to overcome the barriers to effective listening to unlock the real value of effective employee engagement.
