Course Introduction

Learn more about how communication works, behaviour and influence, and how to apply them in a digital world. Examine the role of PR and ethics. Come away knowing how to put the theory into practice through advanced PR planning, equipped to deliver campaigns with impact that will wow clients and colleagues.

  • Unit 1, Strategy and planning: learn how to support your organisation's goals though advanced PR planning with an emphasis on research. 
  • Unit 2, PR content, communications and engagement: understand the management of content. Explore the contemporary media landscape (including digital and ICT developments) and learn to develop creative solutions, create and curate multimedia content and apply communications concepts to a variety of situations facing a range of organisations. 
  • Unit 3 PR management, measurement and evaluation: gain confidence in coaching senior managers, learn how to critically evalaute campaigns, understand how to apply project management techniques.  The unit also looks at ethical practice, resources, internal stakeholders, the PR team and key suppliers; and on measurement and evaluation.
